Tony holds his Master of Letters in Shakespeare and Performance from The American Shakespeare Center and Mary Baldwin College's partner program, where he is presently working towards his MFA in directing. Tony wrote his thesis, "Textual Necromancy," based on the performance of The Merry Devil of Edmonton that he and his fellows brought to the 2010 Philadelphia Fringe Festival, and is presently preparing a new performance edition of the play based on that work.
Some of Tony's favorite past directing credits include As You Like It at the Weathervane Playhouse, Closer with the Catalyst Theatre Co., An Experiment with an Air Pump with Clarkson University's Theatre Co., and the afore mentioned Merry Devil of Edmonton.
In addition to his work as a stage director, Tony also enjoys lighting and sound design. He just finished his third season as Resident Sound Designer at the Weathervane Playhouse, where he got to revisit some old favorites (Little Shop of Horrors, Chicago), and make some new ones (The 39 Steps, Big River, The Good War).
Tony also continues to develop Soundboard, and other software projects when he has a chance. He is also perpetually learning the mandolin, and feeling a bit of a void in his life since completing his thesis work, decided to take up the violin, too.
Tony would like to thank the many friends who have helped him through his travels. He's pretty sure he wouldn't have got very far without their support, faith, and the occasional badly needed kick in the ass they've been there to provide.
