about the cast...

jordan gullikson (larry)

has performed in Burlington since 1992, when he played Orlando in Shakespeare By The Lake's production of As You Like It. Since then, he has worked extensively with local playwright/director Steve Goldberg, Green Candle Theatre Company, Icefire Productions and Firefly Productions. He has acted throughout the U.S. including New York City, North Carolina, Tennessee, Arkansas, Oregon and Washington, as well as Europe and Asia. Mr. Gullikson studied at NYC's Neighborhood Playhouse in New York City under Ron Stetson, Richard Pinter and Sanford Meisner. He is happy to join the cast of Closer and to work with Mr. Tambasco and the Catalyst Theatre Company.

genevra macphail (anna)

is a UVM graduate who has returned to Burlington after several nomadic years and is pleased to be working with Catalyst. Genevra was lately seen as Stella in Stephen Goldberg's Flying on the Bright Wings of Despair, and has originated several roles with Firefly Productions, most recently in G-City Monologues and Budapest Kiseret at the 2006 Edinburgh Festival Fringe. She has also performed at the Brighton Fringe. Her early theatrical career consisted of writing and directing plays with her four younger siblings. She dreams of one day making a living as an artist, going to graduate school, and/or living overseas. Barring all of this, adopting a dog would be nice.

todd townsend (dan)

is a longtime enthusiast of the stage who began his acting career as a student at St. Lawrence University in New York. He has also studied in London at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and in and around the fringe theatre scene. His first major acting role was in a one-man senior honors thesis production of Eric Bogosian's Sex, Drugs, Rock & Roll. Most recently Todd was featured in The Longmont Theatre Company's production of Prelude to a Kiss. A founding player in the controversial Boulder Ensemble Theatre Company, Todd believes that theatre should be used as a vehicle for social stimulation. This is his first show with the Catalyst Theatre Company, an opportunity for which he is very grateful. He feels passionately that the theatre is a medium through which he can express himself and is very pleased to be a part of this show.

victoria townsend (alice)

...and crew

alex noftz (stage manager)

is a senior and a theatre major at Johnson State College. This is his first attempt at stage managing, and he hopes that the stress doesn't make his head explode, as that would certainly make quite a mess of the set. Needless to say he doesn't want that, as he sincerely wants all in attendance to have an enjoyable time. The Waterfront Theatre is a wonderful venue and he is happy to return after appearing here last summer in The Lion in Winter. A special thank you to Producer Veronica Lopez and Tony Tambasco for helping him make an internship out of this project.

tony tambasco (director)

is thrilled to direct Closer for the Catalyst Theatre Company. Previous directing credits include I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change , R.U.R. (Rossum's Universal Robots), The Threepenny Opera, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Thanks to Ronni, Alex, Jordan, Genevra, Victoria, and Todd for all of their energy, enthusiasm, and hard work in making Closer a success.
